Foxhunting on Glastonbury’s Green Fields

Couple of clips of the Blackmore & Sparkford Vale foxhunt on Michael Eavis’ land at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from a couple of seasons ago.

Doesn’t show them actually hunting (there aren’t many footpaths over his land to film from) but they did chase a fox over the main road outside the festival site causing a big traffic jam just after moving off from the meet at Sticklinch. Should they be causing these problems if they are trail hunting?

Eavis has allowed both fox and hare hunts to hunt all over his land before and after the 2005 hunting ban, so when he rattles on about peace and love and the hippy lifestyle, you know what a hunt supporting hypocrite he actually is.

The government has launched a public consultation on Trail Hunting – this is our chance to stop cruel hunting for good. You can read the HSA’s guidance and take part in the consultation here. The deadline is 18th June 2026 – make sure your voice is heard.
