To avoid the hunt breaking the law, concerned observers call the split packs of the Blencathra hounds off the line of a fox. Huntsman Barry Todhunter warns them over the radio not to take control of his hounds.
If he was in control of his hounds, he must have been deliberately hunting the fox they were on. No? His usual excuse is that he is not in control of them when they are chasing foxes.
