Dressed To Kill By The Coniston Foxhounds

It’s now been over three weeks since Lake District Hunt Sabs filmed the Coniston Foxhounds digging out and killing a fox. A lot has happened since then, with at least sixteen arrests, another hunt – the Teme Valley – involved in the dig-out, and pathetic attempts by pro-hunt lobby groups the Countryside Alliance and British Hound Sports Association to distance themselves.

Hiding in plain sight: the Coniston Foxhounds logo

It might be imagined that the Coniston Foxhounds would go quiet for now but – shockingly – they are still touting a range of clothing on their merchandise website. All their apparel comes embroidered with the hunt’s logo – a fox’s head, a hunting whip and a hunting horn. It really is essential wear for anyone heading out onto the Lakeland fells to torture and disembowel foxes.

Ideal apparel for the young fox killer in your life.

One of the most disturbing aspects of the Coniston Foxhounds video is the way that visibly young individuals – who would likely not even have been born when hunting was made illegal – are most involved in the abuse of the fox. Such individuals are well catered for on the Coniston Foxhounds merchandise site which offers clothing to children as young as three!

Older and younger hunt members work together to locate the fox.

The brazen criminals at the Coniston Foxhounds have been hiding in plain sight for far too long – it’s time to shut them down for good!
