FOX HUNTING EXTREMISTS ATTACK SAB VEHICLE

LANDY

Norwich Hunt Saboteurs have had one of their vehicles trashed in a cowardly night-time attack. Pro-bloodsports extremists smashed windows, slashed tyres, and stole items from the Land Rover, which was
parked at the home of a local hunt sab.

Sadly, this attack is only the latest in a long history of such incidents. For years, hunters have attempted to intimidate sabs in their homes, burnt their vehicles, and even left mutilated animals on their property.

They thought this would stop Norwich Hunt Sabs. They were wrong.

While it is hunt sabs who bear the brunt of these extremists, anyone with the courage to speak out against hunting is liable to attack. TV presenter and vocal anti-hunt critic Chris Packham has endured an orchestrated and escalating terror campaign in an attempt to silence him, with dead birds being strung up outside his home and even a ‘professional’ firebomb attack on his property.

And only this week, Alex Evelyn – children’s author and wife of ITV reporter Rupert Evelyn, who has reported many hunting stories in recent years – tweeted that they “have never experienced anything like the intimidation we have had as a family after his reporting on illegal foxhunting and cruelty towards foxes, including spying on our family home.”

An HSA spokesperson commented, “If this was an attempt to stop Norwich Hunt Sabs, it has failed. Twelve hours after the attack, Norwich sabs were out in the killing fields, thanks to their many friends from other sab groups. The whole sab community has rallied round – as we always do when attacked – and Norwich Hunt sabs will emerge from this cowardly attack stronger than ever.”
