If you have already made such contact with your local hunt and your requests have still been ignored read on for what to do next.
Send A Warning Off Letter Or Email To Your Local Hunt
Send a Warning Off Letter/Email and map of your property to the Secretary of your local hunt.
If sending hard copy by post, send by recorded delivery so no one can pretend they hadn’t been told.
Use the following letter or compose your own:
I am writing to inform you that my property is closed at all times to the horses, hounds, officials, followers and any other individual connected with your Hunt.
I therefore request that no unauthorised entry occurs on my property by any of the above. Further, I ask you to inform me in advance when your Hunt is likely to be present in my locality.
Please find attached a map of my property, including the boundaries, for your information.
Make sure it is dated and signed.
Copy Your Warning Off Letter/Email To Your Local MP And Police
Copying your Warning Off Letter/Email to your local Police and MP will alert them to your point of view and also mean that they are aware of your actions. This is an important point to remember in the event of any future incidents occurring.
