Following on from Monday’s highly successful sabotage of the Wemmergill Estate’s first grouse shoot of the season, sabs were once again out taking action against the tweed-clad wildlife abusers.
After scouting the estates of the Peak District to ensure all was quiet in the area, the large group of sabs headed north to the Yorkshire Dales where news had come in that a shooting party was on the moors close to Pateley Bridge.

Activists took the long hike up towards the shoot and with a gamekeeper phoning ahead to the shoot manager, the rest of their day was promptly called off.

Shooters trudged back to their lodge as sabs trekked over the heather towards them. After a long deliberation, the group headed for home, angry that their day of killing had been cut short.

The Stean Estate was also sabbed twice last year during the HSA’s actions around the so called ‘Glorious Twelfth’.
An HSA spokesperson commented:
“It was great to hit this grim estate again and protect the lives of many of the grouse who live there. It seems even the sight of sabs heading onto the tops is enough to make these lowlifes pack up!”
