The Hunt Saboteurs Association is asking our supporters to contact their MPs following the release of horrific drone footage involving the Quorn Hunt in Leicestershire.

On Friday 16 October 2026, Northants Hunt Saboteurs filmed an incident near Kirby Bellars in which a fox was killed by hounds during a Quorn Hunt cubbing meet.

The footage shows hounds seizing and tearing at the fox while hunt staff intervene to repeatedly encourage the hounds to attack. A hunting horn can be seen being blown over the hounds to reinforce the association between the horn call and the kill!

Organised Hunts hunting as usual – Famous Quorn Hunt filmed killing a fox
Dear [MP]
The 1st November will see the official start of the foxhunting season, but hunts have been out since August training their hounds to hunt and kill. This is called autumn hunting by them and cub hunting by the rest of us.
This is illustrated by the film we obtained taken from a drone showing the Quorn Hunt killing a fox. This is ‘trail hunting’ in its bloody reality, and it happened just a few days ago, on the eve of the BHSA’s National Trail Hunting Day.
The full video can be viewed here: https://www.huntsabs.org.uk/smokescreen-saturday-exposed/
Cub hunting is not some isolated activity. It is the preparation for the hunting season ahead. Throughout the autumn, young hounds are taught what to chase, what to kill and how to respond to the huntsman’s commands. What they learn – or fail to learn – during these crucial weeks sets the tone for the entire season.
This is what makes the Quorn Hunt footage so damning. It shows hounds being deliberately encouraged to seize and tear at a fox, with hunt staff repeatedly intervening to reinforce that behaviour.
As the British Hound Sports Association (BHSA) and the Countryside Alliance prepared to showcase so-called ‘trail hunting’ on National Trail Hunting Day – aka Smokescreen Saturday – the Quorn Hunt provided a horrifying glimpse of the reality behind the myth of trail laying.
The BHSA and defenders of so-called trail hunting want the public to believe the same hounds will spend the season following scent trails. Yet here they are, being trained on foxes, and of course, killing to the delight of the hunters.
The footage strikes at the very heart of the trail hunting smokescreen.
We need parliament to finish the consultation and push through a real hunting ban in the next parliament term as promised in the manifesto.
Regards
