Cruelty United: Shropshire Hunt Hides Body Of Dead Fox

WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT

Horrifying footage passed to the HSA shows the lengths fox hunts will go to conceal their illegal activities.

The still-warm body is retrieved.

A member of the public was filming the United Pack hunting around Corndon Hill in Shropshire on 30th January 2025, when they heard the huntsman’s horn blow for a kill in woodland. The highly distinctive, long drawn-out ‘rattle’ is blown to encourage the hounds to savage the fox and thereby ensure they are kept ‘in blood.’

As United Pack huntsman Jason Wood left the scene on a quad bike, accompanied by hunting fanatic Ian Jones – recently convicted of giving a Nazi salute to an anti-hunt activist – the cameraperson entered the wood to investigate the kill site. On following a trail of fur, they found a badger sett entrance that has been blocked with large rocks. Upon removing these, they recovered the still-warm body of the fox,
which was taken away for forensic examination.

United in cruelty: the hunt leave the scene.

An HSA spokesperson commented,

“The video shot by this brave person shows – yet again – a hunt behaving as an Organised Crime Group. They meet in a remote area on a quiet Thursday afternoon, carry out a horrifying attack on a fox and then bury the body in an effort to cover up their crimes. This hunt have already had a Community Protection Warning served against them, so only a complete ban on hunting – with serious penalties – is going to deter these extremists. We urge the government to act on their commitment to tighten up the Hunting Act immediately. “
