The HSA is today urging our supporters to share the first of our hard-hitting videos.
Narrated by Chris Packham, the video attempts the impossible task of distilling the cruelty, criminality and chaos of hunting into just two minutes!
All footage in the film was shot in the last few years, highlighting the urgent need to strengthen the Hunting Act 2004 and finally end hunting for good.
Beginning with a previously unseen clip of a Lakeland hunt bolting a fox to the hounds, the video goes on to expose the horror of stag hunting, hare hunting and mink hunting.
The video then highlights the outrageous behaviour of hunts in digging up badger setts, blocking roads and invading private property to hunt down and kill foxes.
Finally, the video shows the heavy price paid by hunt saboteurs who fight to stop illegal hunting. This sequence begins with the ramming of Manchester Hunt Sab’s vehicle, continues with a Cottesmore rider almost killing a sab, and finishes with a sickening attack by Badsworth Hunt thugs who smash the body of a dead fox against Sheffield Hunt Sab’s vehicle.
At this crucial time for hunted animals, we ask our supporters to share this video far and wide – tell the new Labour government that it is time to end hunting for good!
